AWS (Amazon Web Services) is one of the (at least in my mind) "Big Three" cloud providers. The other two are Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
AWS is the oldest, largest, and most popular of the three, generally speaking.
Security best practice: Only use your AWS account's root user to perform a few account and service management tasks. Do NOT use the root user for everyday tasks. After you create your account, secure the root user with a strong password and enable multi-factor authentication (2FA) on it.
For all day-to-day administrative work, create a new IAM user with admin permissions. This will help keep your account secure.
Let's get you up and running with AWS.
Run and submit the CLI tests.
We won't go outside the free tier for this course, but they do sometimes update their free tier. If you're nervous, you can read more about AWS's free tier. Delete all the resources we create in this course when you're done and you should be just fine.
