Colors

Now that we've built our first bar, column, and line charts, it's time to make them more visually appealing.

Colors aren't just for style – they actually help your viewers more quickly and accurately understand your data. You can use color to:

• Highlight important categories
• Differentiate between series
• Use contrast to call attention to key values

Of course, sometimes color is just for style. It's great to use color for:

• Matching your company or client's branding
• Keeping your dashboard consistent and professional-looking

Assignment

1. Click on your clustered column chart ("Pages Visited by Device") to select it.
2. In the Visualizations pane, click the "Format your visual" (paint) icon.
3. Expand the Columns section.

1. You'll see a dropdown with a selection for each category or series in your chart. Set it to "All" if it isn't already.
2. Update the color to the pink-red "Theme Color 8."

Save the project and, from the course directory, submit the CLI tests.
