Line Charts

A line chart connects data points in a continuous line – perfect for showing chronological trends.

I know the example above isn't Power BI, it's Google Trends, but let me have my fun.

What Are Line Charts Good For?

  • Showing trends and patterns over time
  • Comparing multiple time-based series
  • Highlighting increases, decreases, or steady trends

Line charts are perfect when you have a time-based X-axis (like date, date_month, or date_week) and a numeric Y-axis (like sale_quantity or product_list_price).
