Changing Data Types

From the Data/Table view, you can manually change the data type of a column if Power BI misinterpreted it during the import process. This happens all the time with things like dates and numbers. You always want the most accurate data type for each column!

To change a type, use the dropdown menu as shown below:

Save the project and, from the course directory, submit the CLI tests.

If you see tests failing because no metadata file has been generated for the new website_sessions table, you may need to do the trick where you go into the Model view, move the table slightly on the canvas, and save the project again. It's unclear why this problem occurs for some users.
