Calculated Columns

Calculated columns are just like custom formulas in Excel! They use the data from other columns, sometimes even columns in other tables to create new columns with the results.

Assignment

Funny enough, from just our sales data, we haven't been able to see how much money we made on each sale. Let's add a new calculated column that pulls in data from the products table to do that.

Select the sales table, then click on "New column" in the top ribbon.
The Formula bar at the top should become selected. Paste in this formula: price = sales[sale_quantity] * RELATED(products[product_list_price])
Click the green checkmark to save it.

You should see a new calculated column:
Head back to the Table view, and you should now see a new price column with all those calculated values!

Save the project and, from the course directory, submit the CLI tests.
