Legibility

Text should be easy to read from a distance. Try to:

Use one font family.
Keep similar visuals using the same text sizes.
Make key numbers slightly larger than supporting text.

Small, inconsistent text is one of the most common dashboard issues.

Assignment

We have a big problem with our current dashboard: the names of the stores and brands are hard to read, and the KPI numbers are rounded to nearest thousands... yuck.

Update the cards to show the full whole number values. Do this for each:
- Select a card → Format your visual → Visual → Callout → Apply settings to [pick your measure] → Value → Display units → None
Update the cards to show the comma separating the thousands place. Do this for each:
- Select a card → Format your visual → General → Data format → Format options → Format → Whole number → toggle "thousands separator" on
Shrink the cards' sizes vertically, and grow the bottom 4 charts to take up some of the extra space.
Click on each visual and add a border: Format your visual → General → Effects → Visual Border -> Yes
