Learn Pandas

Turn messy CSVs, JSON, and event logs into clean, analysis-ready data with Pandas and Polars.

What you'll learn in this Pandas course

Learn how to manipulate data in Python with Pandas, the industry-standard data analysis library. You'll load messy JSON, CSV, and Parquet files, then clean, filter, merge, and aggregate them into analysis-ready datasets. You'll even learn about Polars, a faster, modern alternative to Pandas.

Chapter List

1
Data Manipulation
Learn the core workflow, data types, date handling, and Python comprehension tools used in data manipulation.
2
Data Formats
Learn how to work with common data formats like JSON and CSV in Python workflows.
3
Pandas

I really enjoyed this course, this was perfect for me, as i have worked with pandas before, but a long time ago and not for analytics work, learning about pivot tables, and other analytics topics was great, and learning about polars at the end was a great additional. I really recommend this course to anyone who wants to get started with pandas, or even as a revision.

This course is indeed not only about Pandas - it covers a lot of ground. It first gives you a great introduction and onboarding to Pandas and explains how it fits into data-related work. Then it moves into the practical side of things and, towards the end, introduces Polars - another modern data manipulation library. All the important nuances are touched upon, and the tasks give you plenty of opportunities to tinker with the functionality and get more or less comfortable with it.

Very complete course, does not only give knowledge about pandas, but also instills good practices for data analysis. I found myself wishing for a chapter on jupyter notebooks and a chapter with "real-life" exercies without so much handholding.

I cannot express how valuabale this course is to me. I actually started learning pyspark months ago becuase I work with databricks but I struggled with the syntax ... now that i understand pandas it pyspark makes so much more sense now. I hope the boot.dev team publish a pyspark course.
