First Visualization

1. In the Visualizations pane on the right-hand side of the Report view, click the Clustered Bar Chart icon. Resize the resulting chart to take up the full canvas (the dotted rectangle).

   

2. In the Data pane (all the way on the right), expand customers, then drag the customer_payment_type field to the Y-axis box under the Visualizations pane.

   

3. Drag the customer_id field to the X-axis box.

   You can also click the checkbox next to the correct field/column in the Data pane, but I prefer to drag it over.

4. When you drag a field into a visualization, Power BI chooses an aggregation function automatically. In this case, you'll probably see that it chooses Sum by default – but what we actually want is Count (Distinct). That is, we want the X-axis to show the number of distinct customer IDs for each payment type. In order to change the aggregation, click the dropdown arrow next to customer_id in the X-axis box, and select Count (Distinct).

If everything is working, Power BI should now show the customer count for each payment type!

Save the project and, from the course directory, submit the CLI tests.
